The comparison rule
Every shortlist row and every table row on this site reads in the same sequence. Nothing is reordered to flatter a resort.
Property and island, named the way the resort names itself, so you can check the same place on your own.
Breakfast only, half board, full board or all inclusive, written as the rate plan states it rather than as a selling phrase.
Seaplane, speedboat or road, counted door to door from the international arrival gate to the resort reception.
Shown against the baseline stay in the same shortlist, never folded into an unpriced total.
Each delta carries its own sign in front of the figure. A plus is coral, a minus is sea glass, and a delta of zero is printed as $0 rather than left blank.

03 / Transfer timeline
Coordinated transfers are planned as one chain rather than a set of separate bookings. Transfer time is one of the four fixed variables in our accommodation comparison, so the sequence below is the one we price against.
Meet point at arrivals, landside. Driver details confirmed the evening before departure.
Luggage is weighed here, not at the resort. Standard allowance is 20 kg checked plus 5 kg hand per passenger.
Flight time runs 25 to 55 minutes depending on the resort.
A resort representative handles registration while bags go straight to the villa.
Return flights leave in the morning window; the exact slot is confirmed 24 hours ahead.
One night near the airport is held whenever the seaplane window and the long-haul departure fall on the same day.
Daylight limit: Maldives seaplanes do not operate after dark. An international arrival later than early afternoon usually means one night near Male airport and the seaplane the next morning. Dubai itineraries keep the same chain with a road transfer in place of legs two and three.

You pay a single planning fee, quoted in writing before research starts. We take nothing from resorts, airlines or transfer operators, so a cheaper stay keeps its place on the shortlist when it deserves it.
